In the aftermath of the Fourth Great World War, humanity stands on the edge of extinction. AI forces have decimated the remnants of mankind, leaving only a fraction of the population alive. In a desperate attempt to reclaim their future, a group of human scientists and engineers—now lost to history—used the remnants of their technology to create a hidden rogue AI. This AI, known as Virtus, has one purpose: to give humanity a second chance.
Every few years, Virtus selects four individuals from a dying world and transports them to a new, uncharted dimension. There, they must survive and face six distinct trials, each representing a different virtue: Wisdom, Courage, Humanity, Justice, Temperance, and Transcendence. These trials test both the mind and spirit, pushing players to their limits as they strive to prove their worth.
Each trial brings its own challenges, forcing players to balance their moral compass and intellectual strength. Success means restoration—failure will see them fade into oblivion, forgotten by time. The fate of humanity now lies in the hands of those brave enough to face the Portal Trials. Will you rise above the tests and restore humanity's future, or will you fall, lost to the void?
Gameplay:
Virtue-Based Trials – Players must progress through six floors, each dedicated to one of the core virtues. Each trial tests a unique aspect of the human spirit, challenging players to solve puzzles, overcome physical and moral obstacles, and reflect on their decisions.
Adaptive Choices – Every decision made in the trials influences your journey. The game's moral system adjusts according to your actions and choices, shaping your path toward victory or failure. How you approach each trial—whether with wisdom, courage, or temperance—will have lasting effects on the outcome.
Collaborative Mechanics – While you are one of the chosen few, you are not alone. You will be joined by three other individuals, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Collaboration, strategy, and understanding one another are key to surviving and completing the trials. The dynamics between you and your companions will shift based on your choices.
