Set during the late Ming Dynasty in 1632, The Hungry Lamb follows the journey of a bandit named Liang, who is tasked with transporting four young girls from Huazhou to Luoyang. Initially, Liang believes these girls will be sold to wealthy families as adopted daughters. However, one of the girls, named Sui, reveals the grim truth behind the journey. The employer behind this mission is a thousand-year-old pig demon with a grotesque craving for young girls, whom it selects as a sinister ritual on its birthday. Sui’s sister was one of its victims, and she hopes that Liang will abandon the mission and join her in seeking vengeance.
As Liang travels through the war-torn lands, including the provinces of Shanxi, Shanxi, and the Central Plains, he must uncover the mysteries surrounding Sui’s story, navigate the treacherous political landscape, and ultimately decide whether to align with Sui or complete his mission for his own survival. The game’s narrative branches into nine distinct endings based on the choices you make, exploring themes of vengeance, moral conflict, and survival in a turbulent era.
