In Onna Kishi Aira ~ Kingdom Return ~, players follow the journey of Aira, a young and dedicated female knight from the kingdom of Alflora. Despite her tireless training, Aira has struggled to develop her swordsmanship skills and is far from the strongest warrior in her kingdom. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, she is unexpectedly appointed as the captain of a knightly order. Unfortunately, her new role stirs up resentment among her comrades, leading to her betrayal.
Lured into a forest under false pretenses, Aira is ambushed and nearly falls victim to her fellow knights. But fate intervenes when one of her companions uses a teleportation spell to save her, though it has an unintended consequence. Aira is transported far away to the distant and foreign land of the Jilena Empire.
With no way back home and only a few allies to rely on, Aira meets Drehel, a mysterious traveling merchant. Together, they set out on a perilous journey to return to Alflora and restore Aira’s honor. Along the way, she will face many trials, and as she explores new territories, she will encounter both friendly and hostile characters.
