Set in the fictional town of Fukayama, Pandora Appointment follows the journey of Satoru Hikawa, a dedicated government worker, who is unexpectedly appointed as the director of the newly established Fukayama Shopping District Revitalization Office. With the backing of the deputy mayor, Satoru is tasked with the monumental responsibility of breathing life back into a once-thriving shopping area that has now fallen into a state of decline, its shops shuttered and its streets empty.
Working alongside two newly assigned subordinates, Mio Akasaka from the Citizen Affairs Department and Hitomi Takaya from the Tourism Department, Satoru embarks on a journey to revive the area. Together, they explore innovative strategies, rebrand the district, and engage the community. As the area slowly begins to recover, they face mysterious and unrelenting sabotage that threatens their efforts at every turn.
